Funcdion and feature of stabilizer addtive
1. Enable the compromise of SBS and base asphalt reduce adding SBS.
Due to adding stabilzer, a stable absorption layer foms betveen polymer phase and base asphalt phase. And this layer reduces the surace tension, increase the aftinity,accelerate the compatbility. Observe the sample with microscope,the image of ploymer grain disapper.And the sorting point and needle penerraton increase. Having been tested for many tumes, 15%-25% SBS is Saved by adding moaited asphalt stabilizer. And that the amount of SBS modifier is below 4% ensures the modified asphalt reach the national standard JTGF 40-2004.
2 improve the hot storage stabilIty of SbS, Impede the segregation
The base asphalt contain much polar compound. so it is easy to sink on the bottom:
SBS is nonpolar compound with high viscosity ,So it is easy to concentrate on the asphalt upside.Then segregation
appears.This condtion is not advantagous for SBS hot storage and far transport ,But adding modified
asphalt sablizer,no segegation appears .This reality has been prove dy segregation test appliance.Because modified
asphalt stallizer reduces the interace energy.accelerate S8S phase dispertion,impedes SBS condensation,
strengths the adhension between the phases.
3. Increase the content of aromatic partial, improve the compatibility of base asphalt and SBS.
Adding moditied  asphalt stabilizer, SBS can disslove in the base asphalt better.
